Water Leak Detection

Find hidden leaks behind tiles, under floors and in concealed pipes before you start hacking.

A high water bill or a damp patch on the wall usually means a concealed leak. We use pressure testing, moisture meters and acoustic listening equipment to pinpoint it, so repairs mean opening one or two tiles instead of a whole wall.

Common problems

  • Water bill suddenly much higher than usual
  • Meter dial still turning with every tap closed
  • Damp, stained or mouldy patch on a wall or ceiling
  • Neighbour below reporting water coming through
  • Floor tiles lifting or sounding hollow

Benefits

  • Locate the leak before any hacking
  • Written findings you can share with management or your neighbour
  • Repair quote given on the same visit
  • Saves on tiling and renovation costs

Water Leak Detection questions

Available across:

How do I know if I have a hidden leak?

Close every tap in the house, then look at your water meter for 15 minutes. If the small dial is still moving, water is escaping somewhere. Send us a short video of the meter on WhatsApp and we can advise.

Is detection really non-destructive?

Finding the leak is. Fixing it usually needs a small opening at the exact point. That is far less than the trial-and-error hacking many people end up paying for.
